Children are more prone to swine flu

h1n1Children below 18 years of age are more likely to catch swine flu from an infected person than an adult, reveals a new study by Dr Simon Cauchemez , Imperial College London.

In the study involving 216 people who were infected by swine flu virus, and 600 people living in their household, researchers sought to determine how easily people transmit the viurs to one another. the finding revealed that household contacts aged below 18 were twice as likely to be infected by patient in their household. Aged above 50 were least susceptible to infection.
